Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05), Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), and Congressmen John Sarbanes (MD-03), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), and David Trone (MD-06) today announced federal funding to support critical infrastructure improvements to some of Maryland’s regional airports, including operations, runway repair, and cleaning and sanitization efforts to stop the spread of pathogens.

Tonight, the House came together in a bipartisan fashion to reauthorize critical defense programs for next year and ensure that our troops have the tools they need to carry out their missions safely and the pay raise they deserve. I am particularly glad that this bill includes changes to make it easier to prosecute sexual assault and harassment that occurs in our military.

Though this variant is concerning, I am confident Maryland can get ahead of it by relying on science and safety. oday, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following video to highlight the benefits that the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will bring to businesses and families across the State of Maryland. The law, which was signed by President Biden on November 15, provides once-in-a-generation investments in Maryland’s physical infrastructure, including funding to repair roads, bridges, and highways in poor condition as well as to expand broadband access and build a more climate-resilient Maryland for all.
