Hoyer (MD-05), Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), and Congressmen Dutch Ruppersberger (MD-02), John Sarbanes (MD-03), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), joined in urging the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to allow the proposed transfer of a 105-acre parcel of land currently owned by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service so it can be added to the adjacent Patuxent Research Refuge.

Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) announced $2.15 million in funding from the Army Corps of Engineers to dredge Herring Bay and Rockhold Creek in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This funding was provided in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, brought to the House Floor by Congressman Hoyer in his role as Majority Leader, and through additional Congressional appropriations. Silting at the entrance to the federal channel created a dangerous situation for boaters looking to navigate the channel. More information about the project can be found here.
