Madam Speaker, this is a sad and difficult day for the House of Representatives.

Hoyer (MD-05) reintroduced the Metro Accountability and Investment Act with Members of the Capitol Region Congressional Delegation, including Representatives Gerald E. Connolly (VA-11), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), John Sarbanes (MD-03), Don Beyer (VA-08), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), Anthony Brown (MD-04), Jennifer Wexton (VA-10), and David Trone (MD-06).

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with members of the Prince George’s County Council this morning to discuss some of the most pressing issues House Democrats are seeking to address in the 117th Congress.

This week, I joined my colleagues in introducing the Comprehensive Paid Leave for Federal Employees Act, legislation to grant federal employees 12 weeks of paid leave if they face personal illness, illness of a family member, or a military deployment.
