Get Covered Before the August 15 Open Enrollment Deadline

August 11, 2021

The deadline to sign up for health insurance during the special open enrollment period is quickly approaching. Marylanders have until Sunday, August 15 to sign up for or make changes to their existing health insurance plan—including those without employer-issued health care and those who do not benefit from Medicare or Medicaid. I urge every family in Maryland to visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov today to find a plan that works best for them.

With the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19 and the CDC reporting a concerning rise in cases in Maryland, it is critically important that Marylanders have access to quality, affordable health care. Thanks to the work of House Democrats to strengthen and uphold the Affordable Care Act, more Marylanders than ever before are eligible for affordable health care. Compare plans today and find a plan that works for you and your family by clicking here.

For those who need assistance selecting a plan, the Maryland Health Connection Call Center is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. by calling toll-free 1-855-642-8572. Click here to find local assistance in your community. I join in thanking President Biden for championing the American Rescue Plan and extending the emergency open enrollment period, so more Fifth District families can get covered. I will continue to work to ensure that health care remains easily accessible and affordable to all Marylanders.

As always, I encourage all Fifth District residents to continue to share their concerns and insights with me by contacting my office or connecting with me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. If you need assistance with a federal agency, please click here.

Sincerely Yours,
