Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) reminded service members whose service was extended under stop loss orders in Iraq and Afghanistan that they have untilDecember 3, 2010 to apply for retroactive pay. Troops eligible for retroactive pay will receive $500 a month for each month their service was extended. The Department of Defense estimates that 145,400 troops are eligible, and the Services have paid out 67,000 claims for a total of $251 million. Eligible personnel can go to www.defense.gov/stoploss for more information, or to submit a claim.

Shattuck III, President and Chief Executive Officer of Constellation Energy Group, and Henri Proglio, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of lectricit de France, requesting that the two companies engage in active negotiations immediately in order to reach agreement on a plan to proceed with the development of Calvert Cliffs III.
