This week, the Biden Administration launched COVID.gov, a new resource with important tools to keep you safe from COVID-19. This one-stop-shop website provides access to lifesaving tools like vaccines, tests, and treatments. COVID.gov also offers the latest updates on COVID-19 in our community.

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) spoke on the House Floor this afternoon urging support for H.R. 6338, the Affordable Insulin Now Act. Below are his remarks as prepared for delivery and a link to the video

“There are a lot of women in this room. I've got my list of people to recognize and they are all women. But I want to recognize some of those women, first of all, my dear, dear friend who I love dearly and who I wanted to be the Governor of the state of Maryland…my County Executive…Angela Alsobrooks."

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) is now accepting submissions for the 40th Annual Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students who reside in Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District, which includes Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties, as well as parts of Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties. The students are offered an opportunity to highlight their talent and the winner will have their artwork displayed in the United States Capitol for an entire year. This year’s submission deadline is Friday, April 22, 2022.

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) and Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) today announced $1,277,001 in federal funding for the St. Mary’s County Board of Education’s Head Start programs to expand early learning, development, health services, and family well-being.
