Hoyer (MD-05) announced that the 42nd Annual Black History Month Breakfast will take place on Saturday, February 25, at 8:30 a.m. at Martin's Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland. This year's celebration will feature keynote speaker Governor Wes Moore, the 63rd Governor of Maryland and first Black Governor in the state's history. The theme of this year's Black History Month Celebration is "Black Resistance in the Past, Present, and Future." "Every year since I was first elected to Congress, I have been honored to play a part in organizing the annual Black History Month Breakfast as a means to bring together the Black community in Prince George's County and elevate discussions that are pressing to the needs our residents," said Congressman Hoyer. "I am so honored to welcome Governor Wes Moore back to Prince George's County for this tremendous event. Governor Moore has a story that speaks to the theme of this year's Black History Month. As a man who embodies the premise of resistance in everything he has done and continues to do, I am confident Marylanders will leave this event feeling inspired and uplifted.
