As GSA moves forward with the process of selecting a site, Maryland is united at the federal, state, and local level to bring the new FBI headquarters to Prince George's County.

The dedicated employees of the Department of Homeland Security should not be penalized if the Department shuts down. From securing our nation's borders to guarding our airport checkpoints, we rely on these employees to keep America safe, and they should be compensated for the hard work they do every day.

Earlier this week, House Democrats on the Education and Workforce Committee put forward a proposal to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, which included a provision that authorizes a competitive grant program to expand the number of full-service community schools at the K-12 level across the country.
