It is inexcusable that Senator McConnell and Senate Republicans refused to treat the District of Columbia as a state in the third package to respond to the coronavirus pandemic

We write as the Maryland Congressional Delegation in strong support of the March 24, 2020, request for an expedited major Disaster Declaration for the State of Maryland as a result of the impacts of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
