WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) returned to the United States after joining a bipartisan group of House Members on a delegation to Israel and Jordan. While in Jordan, Congressman Hoyer and the delegation met with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah to discuss the crucial strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States. The delegation also visited the Petra UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a symbol of Jordanian history and culture.

Hoyer (MD-05) joined a bipartisan group of more than 20 of his Congressional colleagues in writing to U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in support of the University of Maryland-led Mid-Atlantic Semiconductor Collaborative (MASC) proposal to contribute to the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Microelectronic Commons initiative. The Microelectronics Commons, which DoD is in the process of implementing, will stand up a national network to bolster U.S.
