Yesterday, the House passed the Fiscal Year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), to ensure the security of our nation and support our men and women in uniform. I was pleased to bring this legislation to the Floor and see it pass overwhelmingly – just as it has done for 60 consecutive years. I worked alongside my colleagues to secure important benefits for Fifth District service members, including a 2.7 percent pay increase, expanded parental leave, and improved mental health care services, all of which are essential resources that our men and women in uniform rely on.
