According to the Maryland Department of Health, of those who are eligible to receive the vaccine, 900,000 Marylanders remain unvaccinated. I am glad to see Maryland lead several other states in our vaccination efforts, with nearly 60 percent of Marylanders fully vaccinated and over 83 percent of our state having received their first dose – but we have more work to do. We must continue to close the vaccination gap and get more of our friends and loved ones protected from COVID-19.
