I was saddened to hear of the passing of former Maryland Congresswoman Marjorie Holt.

Despite an enrollment period that was cut in half by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Hogan Administration, nearly 154,000 Marylanders enrolled in affordable private health coverage during the 2018 open enrollment period, and daily enrollment in health plans increased 69 percent compared to the previous open enrollment period.

The Children's Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, provides quality health care to thousands of children in our state.

Once again, Republicans in the House of Representatives have ignored their responsibility to govern, and opted to kick the can down the road.
