WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement today on Tax Day to highlight the continued attacks on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by the Trump Administration:

"Today is the last day for most Americans to file their tax returns. The vast majority of them do so dutifully not only because the law requires it of them but also because they recognize it as an integral part of healthy civic life in our country.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressmen Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05), former Majority Leader, and Representative Gregory W. Meeks (NY-05), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee introduced a comprehensive bill to support Ukraine and thwart Russia's ability to wage its illegal war there. Like the Senate bill introduced earlier this month by Senator Lindsey Graham, this legislative package imposes numerous sanctions and other economic measures against Russia should it fail to cease its war of aggression against Ukraine.
