WASHINGTON, DC -Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) yesterday praised final Congressional approval of legislation he authored to restore protections for citizens with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).________________________________________________________________________

There are two sides the investment side is not in good shape obviously. We just saw Lehman Brothers go down $650, clearly the consequences of a failure would be substantial. Secretary paulson was reflecting the fact that going further and putting the taxpayer at continued risk on bailing out companies that frankly have taken risks that were unjustified, is not necessarily the policy of what we continue to pursue, particularly when the federal government itself is so deep in debt.________________________________________________________________________

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) joined a majority in the House of Representatives today in backing the Comprehensive Energy Security and Consumer Protection Act (H.R. 6899) - an expansive energy plan that will fight the rising cost of energy and curtail America's dependence on foreign oil by responsibly expanding domestic drilling, investing in renewable energy and promoting greater energy efficiency and conservation.________________________________________________________________________
