Hoyer (MD-05) hosted his annual Educators Luncheon today in Upper Marlboro, where he honored 17 exceptional teachers and principals in the Fifth District. Honorees included recipients of the Washington Post Finalists for the Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, and County Teacher of the Year Award Winners. “Teachers are the best of us, giving their careers to prepare the next generation of students with the skills they need to succeed,” said Congressman Hoyer. “I am proud to be with these extraordinary educators today and to celebrate all the teachers of the Fifth District. Over the past few years, they have faced enormous challenges but adapted and showed resilience.
