Ten Fifth District Students Offered Appointments to U.S. Service Academies

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) announced the names of ten students from Maryland's Fifth Congressional District who have received appointment offers to attend one of four U.S. Service Academies for the next school year. Today, Congressman Hoyer held a reception for the students and their families at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. For photos of today's event, click here.

"I am honored to be here today to recognize another outstanding group of students receiving appointment offers to our nation's prestigious Service Academies," stated Congressman Hoyer. "An offer to attend one of these institutions is recognition of their achievements both inside and outside the classroom. I am proud to have the opportunity to nominate these talented future leaders from Maryland, and I thank them for answering the call of service to our country and choosing to pursue a future of leadership.
