Hoyer Visits Gwynn Park High School
BRANDYWINE, MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) visited Gwynn Park High School in Prince George's County this morning to congratulate the winners of the Fourth Annual Congressional App Challenge. Four students at Gwynn Park High School placed in this year's competition: Ian Barnes won the first place prize with his app, "Break Ball;" Destini Brown won second place with her app, "How Are You Feeling;" Sean Mason won fourth place with his app, "Math Genius;" and Darius Green won fifth place with his app, "Simple Calculator."
"I was very pleased to visit Gwynn Park High School this morning to congratulate the impressive participants in this year's Congressional App Challenge," said Congressman Hoyer. "I enjoyed learning more about the innovative apps built by Ian, Destini, Sean, and Darius. Their apps showcased a wide range of technical skills and creativity."

"STEM education is critically important in today's fast-changing economy, and I am continually impressed with the hard work and determination shown by Fifth District students."
