Hoyer Visits Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center
BELTSVILLE, MD – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) visited Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center at the invitation of Principal Diedra Tramel, recipient of the Washington Post's Distinguished Educational Leadership Award. Congressman Hoyer toured the Center and read to a class of four year-old students.
"Early childhood services provided by the Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center give our children a good education and a healthy start that will significantly
impact their success later in life," stated Congressman Hoyer. "I want to thank Principal Tramel and her staff for their dedication to improving the services they provide to our children and I will continue to work with them to ensure they have the education and services critical to their students'success."
The Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center serves children ages three to four and children with developmental delays from birth to age four. The Center includes an autism program, Headstart program, Infant/Toddler program, Pre-K program, and PreSchool program.
Special Education Coordinator Cindy Ettinger, Board of Education Member Rosalind Johnson (District 1), Instructional Supervisor for Early Childhood Special Education Lydia Jones Nunn, and Prince George's County Public Schools Senior Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist Randall Pike also attended the event.
