Hoyer Statement on Retirement of Dr. Nancy Grasmick

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement today on the retirement of Maryland Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Nancy Grasmick:

"With the retirement of Superintendent Nancy Grasmick, the children of Maryland and the State of Maryland have lost one of its greatest advocates of quality education in the history of our State.

"She has been my friend for more than fifty years and I have admired her commitment to education for all those years.  Her leadership and passion will be sorely missed."
