"I was pleased to bring together Democratic Members of the Maryland House Delegation, Chancellor Kirwan, and Dr. Loh today to discuss Dr. Loh's vision for College Park. I'm incredibly proud to represent my alma mater in Congress, and I applaud Dr. Loh's plan to move the University in a positive direction over the coming years, which will strengthen academics, the arts, and athletics at the University. I was also impressed by his commitment to strong community partnerships and economic development in College Park. By partnering with local schools, improving public safety, and revitalizing the downtown area, I'm confident that Dr. Loh, in partnership with community stakeholders, will take important steps to ensure College Park is a competitive college town. I thank him and Chancellor Kirwan for joining us and look forward to continuing to work together to enhance this outstanding academic institution."
