Hoyer Meets with New College of Southern Maryland President Dr. Maureen Murphy

LA PLATA, MD – This morning, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) met with Dr. Maureen Murphy, who began her tenure as President of the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) on July 1. Congressman Hoyer also met with Ted Harwood and Brad Bates, the newly appointed Chair and Vice Chair of the College of Southern Maryland Board of Trustees.  

"I join in congratulating Dr. Murphy on her new position as President of the College of Southern Maryland (CSM)," said Congressman Hoyer. "I am confident her years of experience in the community college system will be exceptionally beneficial to CSM. I look forward to working with Dr. Murphy, as well as Ted Harwood, Brad Bates, and others, to build upon the success of former President Dr. Bradley Gottfried and ensure more students have access to quality, affordable higher education in Southern Maryland."
