Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) along with Representatives Don Beyer (VA-08), Gerry Connolly (VA-11), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), Jennifer Wexton (VA-10), David Trone (MD-02), Abigail Spanberger (VA-07), Glenn Ivey (MD-04), and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), Members of Congress representing the National Capital Region, issued a stark warning today on the inclusion of the Holman Rule in the House Republican rules package, slated for vote tonight. The Holman Rule is a procedural tactic to allow the reduction or elimination of funding to individual programs already authorized by Congress, or of salaries of individual federal employees or offices, via appropriations riders.

I am grateful for another opportunity to serve my constituents in this new year, and appreciate the work House Democrats have done under our Democratic Majority to deliver for Americans across the county. This morning, I had the chance to join Dana Bash on CNN’s "State of the Union" to discuss my career and tenure in elected leadership.
