Hoyer Statement on Indictment of Former President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement on the indictment of former President Donald Trump:

“Our democracy rests upon the idea of ‘liberty and justice for all.’  That promise must extend to every American – even to the former president.

“The justice system is working as it should to preserve the sanctity of the rule of law.  I urge the former president and all Americans to accept this indictment and to respect the integrity of our judicial process. No matter the outcome, justice must be served.”
