Hoyer Receives Perfect Score on Reproductive Freedom for All's 2023 Congressional Record

WASHINGTON, DC — This week, Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) awarded Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) a score of 100% on its 2023 Congressional Record on Reproductive Freedom. The annual scorecard tracks how House Members voted on key legislation related to women's reproductive rights during the first session of the 118th Congress.

“I continue to be a defender of women's reproductive freedom, and I always will be,” Congressman Hoyer said. “That work is especially crucial at a time when Republicans at every level of government are waging an unprecedented campaign against women's rights. Last Congress, I was proud to help lead Democrats' efforts to counter those extreme policies by bringing the Right to Contraception Act and the Women's Health Protection Act to the House Floor for successful votes. Although Senate Republicans blocked those crucial pieces of legislation, Democrats and I will not yield until every woman in America can live with the certainty that no one will infringe upon their constitutional right to access reproductive health care.”
