Hoyer, Cárdenas, Soto Statement on the Launch of Invertir.gov Website

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05), Chair of the Regional Leadership Council (RLC), Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29), leader of Region 1 on the council, and Rep. Darren Soto, leader of Region 8, commended the Biden-Harris Administration for launching Invertir.gov – the Spanish-language version of Invest.gov, which launched in June. The websites feature crucial data detailing the progress that the Biden-Harris Administration and Congressional Democrats have made to implement the Investing in America Agenda. With regularly updated national and state-by-state statistics and interactive maps, resources on the website show how the laws Democrats enacted last Congress continue to lower costs, create jobs, and provide workers and families across the country with the tools and opportunities to Make It In America.

"Just as the Regional Leadership Council urged the Biden-Harris Administration to launch Invest.gov, we were proud to push for the development of Invertir.gov," the Congressmen said in a joint statement. "One of our Council's goals is to ensure that every American has easy access to information and resources related to the Investing in America agenda, and Invertir.gov will make it easier for millions of Spanish speakers across the country to track our progress as we implement these historic laws. No matter where they live or what language they speak, Americans deserve to see how their tax dollars are making a difference in their lives and in their communities. The Regional Leadership Council will continue to work with the Biden-Harris Administration and House Democrats to ensure that the transformative programs and policies of the Investing in America agenda reach communities of all sizes in every corner of America."

Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries created the Regional Leadership Council in January 2023 and appointed Congressman Hoyer to serve as its Chair. In addition to Congressman Hoyer, the council consists of twelve Members who each represent one of the United States' twelve regions. The council is working to ensure that Americans in every corner of the country and in every zip code can access the opportunities created by the historic policies that Democrats secured in the 117th Congress, including the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the Honoring Our PACT Act, and many others.
