Last night, President Biden delivered a powerful address to Congress that reflected a bold vision for our country. He reflected on the significant challenges all Americans have faced over the past year as a result of this pandemic, and he spoke about the progress that has been made thanks to the American Rescue Plan – including direct payments to millions of families, and 220 million vaccines administered. We have more work to do, though, as we build an economy that works for everyone. President Bidenlaid out his ambitious agenda to rebuild our infrastructure and create jobs through the American Jobs Plan, and he discussed making investments in education, child care, and paid leave through the American Families Plan. I believe these proposals will help Maryland families succeed and ensure more Marylanders can make it in America.
