Open enrollment season is underway in Maryland, and there's just one week left for you to get covered for quality, affordable health care coverage that starts on January 1, 2022.

To get started, you can visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov and begin shopping for plans. This open enrollment season, subsidies are available for many more Marylanders and plans are as low as $1 a month thanks to the American Rescue Plan. Even if you have health care coverage, you can still change your existing plan for a more affordable option. Marylanders without employer-issued health care and those who do not benefit from Medicare or Medicaid have until December 15 to make changes to their existing health insurance plan for a new plan that begins on January 1.

Financial assistance is available for consumers in need. If you are in need of financial support, you can go here to see the options that are available to you. If you need assistance evaluating or signing up for coverage, the Maryland Health Connection Call Center is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. by calling toll-free 1-855-642-8572. Securing quality, affordable health care has never been easier. I urge you to shop for health care coverage before next week's deadline so you can get covered for 2022.
