Hoyer Visits Antenna Research Associates as Part of "Make It In America" Tour
BELTSVILLE, MD – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) visited Antenna Research Associates – a Maryland manufacturer since 1963 – to discuss the Democrats' "Make It In America" agenda and issues of importance to the local manufacturer as they work to successfully compete in the global economy.
"The Make It In America agenda is a plan to create jobs and restore the competitiveness of our manufacturing industry by encouraging businesses to make products and innovate in the U.S. and sell it to the world," stated Congressman Hoyer. "Democrats are committed to strengthening our infrastructure and supporting investments in key areas like education and energy innovation so businesses – like Antenna Research Associates – can grow and succeed. Meeting today with representatives and employees of this local business, I saw firsthand their desire to compete in the global economy and I will work to ensure that they have the resources and support to do so."
In 1963, Antenna Research Associates, Inc. opened as an engineering and product development company. Its focus in the field of electromagnetism and broadband antennas led to the development of individually calibrated antennas and test equipment for TEMPEST and EMC testing. From antennas, electromagnetism and EMC testing, the company expanded its role into RF subsystems for communication and ECM/ECCM applications, tactical and military systems.
"Make It In America" is a legislative initiative from House Democrats to increase American manufacturing and create new American jobs. Throughout the past year, Hoyer has visited with the owners and employees and toured the facilities of manufacturers located in the Fifth District, including Stone Industrial, ProtoCAD Corporation, JEM Engineering, A.D.J. Sheet Metal, Capital Plastics Company, Techno Sciences, and Stromberg Sheet Metal Works.
