Hoyer Statement on Sotomayor Confirmation

WASHINGTON, DC - House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement after the Senate confirmed Judge Sonia Sotomayor as a  Supreme Court Justice:  

"I want to offer my congratulations to Judge Sonia Sotomayor on her confirmation.  Her experience and knowledge of the law make her tremendously qualified to uphold our Constitution and fairly apply the law.  This is an historic day for all Americans as today marks the confirmation of the first Hispanic-American Supreme Court Justice."
