Hoyer Statement on Resignation of GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini

January 16, 2015

WASHINGTON, DC –Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement today after the Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA) Dan Tangherlini announced his resignation, effective February 13, 2015:

"I join in thanking Administrator Tangherlini for his successful tenure leading the General Services Administration. The General Services Administration is a critical agency for our nation, and under Dan's leadership, GSA became more accountable and transparent to the American people. Dan has been tireless in his efforts to understand the challenges the GSA faced when he assumed this responsibility and he worked well with the heads of other federal agencies to help them meet their needs. I was glad to have had the opportunity to work closely with Dan during his tenure on the proposal for the new consolidated FBI headquarters.  I wish him all the best as he continues in the next phase of his career."
