Hoyer Statement on the Passing of Former Governor William Donald Schaefer

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement today on the passing of former Maryland Governor William Donald Schaefer:

"William Donald Schaefer was a dear friend with whom I worked closely when he was Governor and Mayor. He was a good Governor of our State and one of America's greatest Mayors. He changed the face of Baltimore City and gave it pride, charm, and vitality."
