Hoyer Statement on the Opening Day of the Maryland General Assembly

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement today as the Maryland General Assembly convenes for its 437^th session: 

"I welcome the beginning of the 437^th session of the Maryland General Assembly today. As they begin their annual 90-day session, I hopeful that lawmakers will work together to address the issues most important to the people of Maryland, including securing funding to improve the infrastructure in our state and taking action to address the worsening opioid epidemic. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Assembly, and urge them to work in partnership to address the needs of all Marylanders."
