Hoyer Statement on National Night Out

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement on National Night Out:  

"As we mark National Night Out, I'm pleased to see Fifth District residents, law enforcement personnel, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, and local officials come together to make their communities safe and secure. Recent events over the past few years have demonstrated how important it is to have local law enforcement and communities working together and effectively communicating. I'm proud of the strong partnerships that have been built in the Fifth District, and I'm confident that the activities and dialogue taking place tonight will continue to strengthen them."
