Hoyer Statement on Hurricane Irene Recovery Efforts

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement:

"While Maryland continues its recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, I am working with federal, state, and local officials and reaching out to constituents to ensure that our community has every resource available to clean up and recover. The State of Maryland and county governments are currently working to gather information for the final damage assessment. Together with the Maryland Congressional Delegation, I am committed to providing Maryland with the support it needs, including a potential disaster declaration request to the President."
