Hoyer Statement on Hogan-Rutherford Inauguration

WASHINGTON, DC –Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5)released the following statement today after attending the swearing-in ceremony for Governor Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr. and Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford yesterday at the Maryland State House in Annapolis, Maryland:

"I join in welcoming Governor Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. and Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford in service to the great state of Maryland. I'm hopeful that both parties can work together with the new administration in the spirit of bipartisanship to address the challenges facing the Fifth District and our state. We must continue to create jobs in Maryland and make investments to ensure that more Marylanders and their families can secure a place in the middle class. I offer my best wishes to the Hogan administration and look forward to working with the governor to move our state forward so our residents can have more access to economic opportunities here at home and in America."
