Hoyer Statement on Earthquake

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement:

"We are all grateful that there were no major injuries in the Fifth District as a result of today's earthquake, according to initial reports. However, there are reports of damage to some buildings in Prince George's County and I will continue to work with state and local authorities to ensure any necessary repairs and clean-up efforts happen quickly, and to assist those affected by the earthquake. I urge all residents to heed guidance from emergency management officials to ensure their safety."
