Hoyer Statement on the Death of Bowie State University Student Richard W. Collins III

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement on the death of Richard W. Collins III, a student at Bowie State University, who was killed on the University of Maryland campus over the weekend:

"Earlier today I spoke with both Bowie State University President Mickey Burnim and University of Maryland President Dr. Wallace Loh to express my deepest condolences on the death of Richard W. Collins III. My thoughts and prayers are with Richard's family and friends, as well as the campus communities involved in this horrific act. I urge law enforcement officials to carry out a comprehensive investigation of this brutal attack, and bring the perpetrator of this senseless crime to justice."
