Hoyer Statement on the 60th Anniversary of NASA

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement today on the 60th anniversary of the National Aeronautics and Space Act, signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on July 29, 1958:

"For 60 years, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has led the way in exploring and researching space and our solar system. From landing the first human on the moon to launching satellites that explore the furthest reaches of the known universe, NASA has helped us better understand the world around us, as well as the impact we have on our climate."
