Hoyer Receives High Marks on Environmental Scorecard from League of Conservation Voters
WASHINGTON, DC – Todaythe League of Conservation Voters (LCV), a national nonpartisan environmental organization, released their 2014 National Environmental Scorecard. This year, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) received a 91% rating from the LCVfor his votes on key environmental issues. The LCV's 2014 scorecard scores Members on votes taken in the second session of the 113th Congress. It includes 5 Senate and 35 House votes on issues ranging from energy and climate change to wildlife conservation and spending for environmental programs.

Congressman Hoyer has been a longtime supporter of Maryland's natural resources and have successfully secured federal funding to clean up the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent, Potomac, Anacostia, St. Mary's Rivers and to replenish the oyster population.
