Hoyer on Racist Graffiti in Charles County

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) released the following statement after being briefed by representatives of the Charles County Sheriff's Department about incidents of racist graffiti on Bryans Road:

"I am deeply concerned about incidents that raise the specter of racism in our area.

"I am pleased to hear that the residents of this community came together to quickly erase these signs of bigotry and reflect the solidarity of Charles County.

"We must unequivocally combat racism and intolerance wherever it rears its ugly head."
