Hoyer Meets with Prince George's County Legislative Delegation

February 23, 2018

ANNAPOLIS, MD – This morning, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) met with the Prince George's County legislative delegation to discuss their priorities for the 438th session of the Maryland General Assembly.

"I appreciated the opportunity to meet with members of the Prince George's County legislative delegation to discuss some of the top issues facing the General Assembly this year," said Congressman Hoyer. "I look forward to continuing our efforts to ensure that Prince George's County will remain a top place to do business in our state. That's why I will continue to work with my colleagues in Annapolis to get the FBI headquarters relocation back on track, fund projects to strengthen our transportation systems, improve the safety and reliability of Metro, and fight efforts by the Trump Administration to slash investments that fund programs in our County. I encourage members of the Prince George's County delegation to work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address the issues most critical to the people of the Fifth District."

"I also extended my sincerest condolences to the delegation over the loss of Prince George's County Police Department Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin, who was senselessly killed coming to the aid of a neighbor earlier this week," continued Congressman Hoyer. "Corporal Ramzziddin, a 14-year veteran of the force and recipient of the Silver Medal of Valor Award, was a loving husband and father of four children. His family, friends, colleagues, and the Prince George's County Police Department remain in my prayers during this difficult time."
