Hoyer Meets with the Calvert Nature Society

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement after meeting with the Calvert Nature Society this afternoon to discuss their new campaign to preserve the Keim Forest:

"Responsible conservation of land in Calvert County must remain a top priority, and I was pleased to meet with the Calvert Nature Society this afternoon to discuss their campaign to preserve the Keim Forest. President Trump's extreme budget would severely cut funding to a wide range of programs used to support conservation and would hinder efforts to protect public lands in the Fifth District. I will continue to advocate for responsible conservation and oppose efforts to undermine environmental protections in our state and nation."
