Hoyer Joins President Obama at Ellicott Dredges as Part of Middle Class Jobs and Opportunity Tour

BALTIMORE, MD – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) joined President Barack Obama as he visited a Maryland manufacturer, Ellicott Dredges, as part of the President's Middle Class Jobs and Opportunity Tour. Ellicott Dredges manufactures innovative dredges and dredge equipment sold here in the U.S. and around the world.

"Today, the President visited Ellicott Dredges and discussed how investment in infrastructure can strengthening domestic manufacturing, which is key to creating well-paying, middle class jobs and maintaining our leadership in innovation," stated Congressman Hoyer. "I'm pleased manufacturing and infrastructure investments that help our businesses get their products to market continue to be an important focus of the Obama Administration. In Congress, I'm leading a jobs plan called the Make It In America plan, which aims to create the best conditions for businesses like Ellicott Dredges to manufacture their products, innovate, and create jobs in Maryland and around the country.
