Hoyer Holds Southern Maryland Foreclosure Prevention Workshop

On the heels of passage by the U.S. House of landmark housing legislation, Rep. Hoyer held a Foreclosure Prevention and Assistance Workshop in Waldorf, MD on Friday, May 9, for borrowers at-risk or worried about foreclosure on their homes.

The workshop brought in a number of loan servicers as well as county, state and federal officials to brief homeowners on their financing options and assist them in taking steps to avoid foreclosure. More than 200 homeowners attended to take advantage of the free advice and refinancing services available at the workshop.
