To date, more than 3,600 homes have been repaired by these organizations in Charles, St. Mary’s and Prince George’s counties, and nearly 139,000 volunteers have come together to help their neighbors. I thank volunteers for taking time out of their schedules today to support veterans, low-income families, individuals with disabilities, and elderly residents in our community.”
Congressman Hoyer visited Fifth District homes in Mechanicsville, La Plata and Fort Washington where volunteers did a number of repairs including painting, repairing front porch railings, placing grab bars in bathrooms, kitchen upgrades and yard work.
