Hoyer on the American Legion's Recognition of the 111th Congress's Support for Veterans

“We thank the American Legion for their recognition of Congress’s hard work to enact legislation that responds to the needs of veterans and their families. Democrats are proud to stand with our men and women in uniform. We have worked to cut the red tape that delays services, and improve the health care, educational, and housing support that they’ve earned.

“But there is still work to be done. We are committed to fulfilling our promises to our service men and women in recognition of their great sacrifices to protect our nation and freedoms.”
