House Passes the Affordable Health Care for America Act

On Saturday, November 7, the House passed the Affordable Health Care for America Act – legislation that will make health care more affordable, accessible and secure for all Americans.
The bill, which has the support of the AARP, the American Medical Association, and Consumers Union – will lower health care costs for families and small businesses, expand access to coverage for an additional 36 million Americans, enhance benefits and services for seniors, and include significant new protections that will benefit all health care consumers.
