The General Services Administration (GSA) announced the selection of Greenbelt for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) new, consolidated headquarters on November 8, 2023. In 2009, FBI Director, Bob Mueller walked into Congressman Hoyer’s office and said the FBI needed a new building that accommodates the way the FBI works now. Congressman Hoyer has worked diligently, leading Maryland’s Congressional delegation and state leaders for the last 14 years to ensure Maryland became the home for the new, consolidated FBI headquarters.
