Hoyer, Brown Submit Letter Urging Support for the James Webb Space Telescope Program
WASHINGTON, DC– Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) and Congressman Anthony Brown (MD-04) submitted a letter for the record today, urging their colleagues on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology to reauthorize funding for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Program.
Managed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the JWST is one of the most ambitious missions the U.S. has embarked on. This advanced telescope will allow mankind to see farther out into space than any of its predecessors.
